Photos and descriptions that sell

On a busy board, your photos and description do the selling. A few small habits make the difference between a listing that gets messages and one that gets scrolled past.

Photos

  • Shoot the actual item, not a stock picture. Buyers trust what they can see.
  • Use daylight and a plain background so the item stands out.
  • Show it from several angles, and don't hide flaws — an honest photo saves you a lot of back-and-forth.

Descriptions

  • Lead with what it is, its condition, and why you're selling.
  • Add the details buyers always ask: size, model, age, what's included.
  • Be upfront about wear. Accurate listings also clear moderation faster.

Price and reply

Set a fair price — remember the platform commission on market (8%) and digital (10%) if you're selling there. When buyers message you from the item page, reply promptly; a quick answer is often what closes the deal. On the free boards, a VIP placement or a bump can give a strong listing extra visibility.
